MCEL members, Dwaine Millard & Quentin Mumphery, from Camelot Education are proud to host Robert J. Jagers, Ph.D., Vice President of Research, Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) on Thursday, July 16, 2020, at 2 pm (EST). Register for an engaging discussion as Dr. Jagers speaks to the importance of strengthening relationships, trust and engagement in your school and promoting a culture where social and emotional learning is prioritized – whether your students are physically back in school in the fall or learning remotely. In addition, Dr. Jagers will discuss the urgency of recommitting in these days to the pursuit of equity and excellence in education.
We know that creating a school culture of trust, care, and dependable relationships has always been paramount for student success in school. Unfortunately, most teachers don’t have the training or support required to fully address their students' complex social and emotional needs. In addition, recent events, including the global pandemic, are creating new and additional trauma for millions of children. In the face of these many challenges, fostering positive culture and climate for our students is now, arguably, the most important thing we can do for our kids as they return to school in the fall.
